Take a break on the deck with some fresh kai (food) or delicious roasted coffee while watching the takahē, one of our country’s rarest birds and a national icon of conservation. Our cabinet changes frequently and includes daily specials. Choose from house made favourites such as wraps, paninis and toasties; fresh salads in summer; and hearty soups in winter. Our in-house team love to bake fresh scones, muffins, cakes and slices to delight. We make the most of seasonal local produce and are inspired by Māori ingredients. There’s a special children’s menu and we cater for a variety of dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, dairy and gluten free. Just watch out for the kākā! These cheeky birds are regular visitors to our tables. Our location on State Highway 2 means we are easy to access and a great stop for those driving between Wellington and Hawkes Bay. Vouchers can also be redeemed for on-site birthday parties, events and conferences.
